Learn the secrets of French rosé from the winemaking team at Domaines Ott – and, in season, participate in the harvest.
Let Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, arrange for you and up to three others to fly by helicopter from Monaco to the grounds of Château de Selle to enjoy rare access to this estate, the first of three acquired by Marcel Ott and his family. Upon landing, sip welcome drinks while you learn about the vineyard’s distinguished rosé and the storied history of this wine that is now a symbol of Provence.
Join the winemakers for a deeper look at how the annual viniculture cycle takes shape across Domaines Ott’s 140 hectares (345 acres) of mineral-rich, sunbathed soil, located about halfway between Nice and Marseille. Depending on the time of year, you can choose to participate in the harvest itself. Afterwards, make your way to the tasting room to swirl and sample elegant vintage rosé and rouge wines.
End your visit with a bespoke picnic prepared by the Hotel’s Michelin-starred Executive Chef Yoric Tièche. After taking in views of terraced vines and savouring delights such as foie gras créme brulée canapés, charcuterie and local cheeses, and perhaps a bit of caviar, return to the Hotel in a chauffeur-driven Mercedes with a limited-edition vintage from the Château de Selle in hand.
