Venture across San Francisco Bay to the storied Alcatraz Island. After a ferry ride, explore the island's hauntingly preserved cellhouse with an immersive audio experience featuring voices of former inmates and guards. As you walk the grounds, take in panoramic views of the city and uncover the layered history of this iconic landmark.

: Children ages 4 or under are complimentary.
Senior tickets may be purchased for guests ages 62 or over for USD 42.65 per person.
The roads and walkways on Alcatraz are steep. The distance from the dock to the Cellhouse is approximately 0.25 mile (0.40 km) and the elevation change is 130 feet (40 metres), the equivalent of walking up a 13-storey building. The roads and walkways are wide with several places to stop along the way to rest and take in the views.
The departure point is Pier 33, located approximately 10 minutes away by car. Guests must make their own way to the pier or transportation can be arranged through the Concierge.
Alcatraz tours can sell out several weeks in advance. Our Concierge team will do their best to procure tickets for you directly from the box office and will be in touch in the event of a sold out situation.
Please state your desired departure time. Tours start at 8:40 am and there are departures every 30 minutes or so until the last tour at 3:50 pm.
