Tune into mindful melodies during a lagoonside singing bowl celebration, complete with dinner, treatments and after-hours spa access.
The evening belongs to you – and so does the entire Spa at Four Seasons Resort The Nam Hai, Hoi An – in this after-hours journey of self-reflection and well-being, designed for one or two guests. The Mother Earth Melodies experience begins at 6:30 pm as the sunset turns the sky gold and you enter the candlelit Heart of the Earth Spa, a space of support, compassion and acceptance as inspired by the teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. In an intimate Goodnight Kiss to the Earth ceremony, you’ll float traditional wishing candles on the Spa’s lagoon, guided by Resident Singing Bowl Artist Oanh Ngo. Seated on the lagoon platform, under the stars and next to the Spa’s beautiful glass Buddha sculpture, you’ll find nourishment for body and soul as you dine on a three-course wellness dinner prepared by the Resort chef.
After your exquisite meal, a boatman dressed in customary ao dai paddles you in a traditional Vietnamese basket boat across the serene, koi- and lotus-dotted water to a double Spa villa. There, Oanh leads you in a soothing 45-minute singing bowl lesson on an eight-octave set of crystal bowls – the only complete set in a resort in Vietnam – tuned to 432 Hz., believed to be the harmonic frequency of the universe. Fully in tune with your surroundings, retreat to a flower-filled lotus and rose aromatherapy bath, in a tub large enough for two, while Oanh continues the sound bath on the deck outside. The experience concludes with a four-handed massage, with two therapists for each guest, leaving you feeling deeply nurtured, connected to the present and fully grounded. A set of three singing bowls will be mailed to your home as a reminder of your evening.
