“For a refreshing fall, winter or spring activity, head to Red Rock Canyon, just a few miles west of the city, to find your kind of adventure – hiking, climbing, mountain biking or simply driving through the park in search of wild horses. Be sure to see the Petroglyph Wall Trail’s prehistoric rock carvings while there as well. I like to go mid-week and early in the day to avoid the crowds, and recommend dressing in layers to prepare for the day’s rising temps.”
