- The Resort has been awarded 4 Keys from Green Key Global, a third-party certification program for hospitality properties.
- Electric vehicle (EV) charging stations are available for guest use.
- Electric bicycles are available for guest use.
- The Resort measures and tracks energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste generation through Four Seasons global utility management system.
- Vegan and vegetarian menu items are available.
- Linens and towels are replaced every third day, unless otherwise requested.
- The Resort's pool uses salt technology as an alternative to chlorine.
- The Resort is participating in a pilot program using Soil Thrive Solutions for landscaping free from added chemicals.
- Building systems and fixtures support optimizing water consumption throughout the property.
- Single-use plastics, including water bottles, bathroom amenities and takeaway food packaging, have been removed or replaced with non-plastic alternatives.
- Water bottle refilling stations are available throughout the Resort.
- A recycling program is in place.
- Organic waste is diverted from landfill.
- Soaps and toiletries are recycled and donated to those in need.
- Seasonal menu items are available, including ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
- The Resort serves cage-free eggs.
- A food waste reduction program is in place, including AI-enabled tools to identify, monitor and reduce food waste.
- Kids For All Seasons (KFAS) sustainability programming includes weekly Chef's Garden Club meetings, seed planting, seasonal produce harvesting, meeting our Resort's chefs and a complimentary treat made with ingredients from the children's harvests.
- Local biodiversity support program in place, including our on-property beehive with immersive tour, and annual employee tree-planting trips to the Island of Kahoolawe.
- The Resort has partnered with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge to dedicate a one-acre plot, where employees restore the area with native and Polynesian plants to support the endemic Nene populations.
- Guests can give back to Maui by participating in the Mālama Hawaiʻi program. Those who engage in a Shoreline Debris Monitoring or Blue ʻĀina Reef Cleanup will receive a USD 250 resort credit as a thank you.
- Complimentary reef-friendly sun care products are available for guests.
- Linen, furniture and equipment are donated to the local community.
- Local artists and artisans are featured throughout the Resort in the Daily Artist's Showcase.
- The Resort supports StART, a community-based student artist immersion program supporting the Maui young artist community.
- Employees complete annual Human Trafficking Awareness training.
- The Spa uses Force of Nature, a cleaning solution with no fragrances, dyes, surfactants, preservatives, quats, bleach or alcohol.
