- Trou Aux Cerfs
- Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant Volcano with a well-defined crater. It is 605 metres (1,985 feet) high and 80 metres (262 feet) deep, and located in the central town of Curepipe. According to experts, the dormant volcano may become active at any time in the next thousand years.
- Grand Bassin
- Grand Bassin, which is also known as Ganga Talao, is a lake situated in the mountainous Savanne district in the heart of the island. It is approximately 549 metres (1,800 feet) above sea level. Each year, during the March festival of Maha Shivaratree, thousands of Hindu devotees from across the island make the pilgrimage on foot to pray by the banks of the lake.
- Rhumerie de Chanarel
- The rhumerie is one of the rare distilleries still in activity which cultivates its own sugarcane. They are carefully selected and grown exclusively for the production of the Chamarel Rums.
- Chamarel Waterfalls
- The Chamarel falls have a height of 83 metres (272 feet) and are some of the most famous waterfalls in Mauritius, with them being nestled amongst the forest-lined mountains in the south-west of the island.
- Seven Coloured Earth of Chamarel
- The seven coloured earth at Chamarel is a natural phenomenon and a prominent tourist attraction. The colours of the sand dunes seen here evolved through the cooling of basaltic lava into clay minerals.
