Our Commitment

Through our Four Seasons for Good program, we seek to preserve and regenerate the beautiful places in which we operate, leaving a positive, enduring impact on our communities. Four Seasons and our jet experience partner TCS World Travel (TCS) are committed to reducing the environmental impact of the Four Seasons Jet Experience.

TCS has implemented the following programs for Four Seasons Jet Itineraries:

Jet initiatives

: Four Seasons Jet Experiences are operated by Titan Airways Limited on an Airbus A321neo, one of the most fuel-efficient commercial jets available. The A321neo generates approximately 30% lower carbon emissions and 50% less noise than comparable aircraft.
Four Seasons and TCS are exploring projects that will contribute to increased availability of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The Four Seasons Jet itineraries are routed, when practically possible, to reduce the need for repositioning flights and/or flying the Jet without passengers.
The emissions of the Jet for each leg of an itinerary are currently calculated and fully offset through investment in nature-based projects that meet Plan Vivo or Verra certifications, deemed to be high quality nature-based projects.
TCS has, with its sister companies across the Travelopia Group, joined to partner with Blue Marine Foundation to help conserve and restore ocean ecosystems that are vital in tackling climate change. Travelopia intends to donate at least £1 million over the next three years, with an aim to support the conservation and restoration of 7,000 hectares of vital marine ecosystems through seven global projects.
: In alignment with Four Seasons commitment within its hotels and resorts, single use plastic water bottles have been eliminated from the guest experience while onboard the Jet, and all guests are provided with reusable water bottles to reduce unnecessary waste.
In alignment with Four Seasons commitment to sustainable food and beverage, TCS is taking steps to source sustainably and locally, and reduce onboard food waste.
The Jet guest experience team has completed the Four Seasons Sustainable Food and Beverage training, which provides guidance around reducing food waste.
: All Four Seasons Jet Experience partners, including safari operators, must adhere to the TCS parent company Travelopia’s Animal Welfare Policy, which ensures any animal interactions are carefully managed and aligned with the standards established by the Association of British Travel Agents’ Animal Welfare Guidelines.
TCS supports the work of Gorilla Doctors, a group dedicated to conserving wild mountain and Eastern lowland gorillas through lifesaving, hands-on veterinary medicine in Rwanda, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). Guests have the opportunity to engage with this project during visits to Rwanda.
: Four Seasons makes a donation on behalf of every Jet Experience guest to support the Four Seasons for Good community initiatives underway at each of the properties on our Jet itinerary.
For every Jet Experience trip, TCS World Travel donates to the Vayu Foundation to support the development and distribution of innovative technologies to prevent maternal death during childbirth and non-invasive ventilators for infants in more than 22 countries.
: TCS ensures that all Four Seasons Jet Experience partners are informed of and expected to comply with TCS’ parent company Travelopia’s Supplier Code of Conduct and Minimum Standards for Sustainable and Responsible Travel.

Initiatives at Four Seasons Properties

In addition to the actions being taken onboard the Jet, Four Seasons properties that are part of the Four Seasons Private Jet itineraries also take part in local efforts to reduce environmental impact and create positive social impact. Each hotel has developed local initiatives that demonstrate their commitment to our values, and many of these efforts are available for guest participation. Every Four Seasons property has a Sustainability webpage that provides more information about the hotel’s specific initiatives and efforts. Below are just some examples:

Four Seasons Resorts Maldives
The Four Seasons Resorts Maldives Hospitality Apprenticeship program provides local Maldivian youths, from ages 17 to 20, with the skills and training to help them build a successful career in hospitality. Now in its 23rd year, with 858 graduates to date, the Government of Maldives-accredited program is the longest-running and most successful of its kind in the Indian Ocean region, addressing an important skills gap in this small island nation where limited hospitality training programs exist.

To support local wildlife conservation efforts, Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti proudly contributes to the Serengeti Rhino Conservation Project and the Serengeti De-Snaring Project. The Lodge also supports Hope for Girls and Women, a local nonprofit providing support to those fleeing gender-based violence. Additionally, the Lodge partners with local colleges to provide scholarships to develop and empower the future leaders of Tanzanian tourism.

Guests of Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica can participate in the resort’s Coral Restoration program, which is focused on preserving and rebuilding local coral reefs. Guests of all ages and abilities can participate in coral restoration through Coral Planting, Coral Gardening, Adopt-A-Coral and complimentary snorkelling visits to the coral nursery.

All Four Seasons hotels are encouraged to establish food donation programs to support the local community. Four Seasons Resorts Bali support Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) Indonesia by donating prepared meals to local children in need, including children at the Bali Street Kids Orphanage. The resorts are among the island’s top hotel food donors, helping to nourish young people while advertising food waste from landfill and avoiding related carbon emissions.

At Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris, organic waste from the property’s restaurants is processed into compost that feeds the soil in gardens near Versailles, France – in turn growing the fruits and vegetables served at the hotel’s restaurants. This focus on local and ecologically responsible dining has earned Le George Restaurant a Michelin Green Star.

To maintain plant health and support the coral reef ecosystem in Maui Nui, Four Seasons Resort Lana’i aligned its practices with requirements for the Gold Certification for Organic Landscape Management from the Maui Nui Marine Resource Council and became the first resort to achieve this accreditation in 2022. The team has also successfully implemented 100% organic landscaping, protecting biodiversity both on land and in the sea.
