Qatar’s landscapes inspired “Les Jardins Éternels,” two site-specific works now permanently displayed at Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar. These creations reflect a natural connection that bridges the artist’s French and Iranian heritage with his journey in Qatar, uniting the three worlds through art.
- For Sassan Behnam-Bakhtiar, the connections with people, nature and the sea profoundly shape his work. Upon arriving in Doha from Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, the artist experienced a deep connection to Qatar’s landscapes, dunes and starry skies, evoking memories of time spent in the south of France and Les Trois Vallées. Inspired by nature’s energy, the artist explores the interconnectedness of life, which remains a central theme in his creations. “Jardin de la Paix” and “Jardin de la Vie” embody humanity’s need to embrace love, life, energy and peace. The paintings delve into themes of detachment from modern societal structures, encouraging a reconnection with roots and culture to rediscover true nature. The works symbolize the essence of humanity – energy – offering a window into the unseen yet deeply felt forces that shape life’s constant evolution.
