Overview

This tour is a Whistler summertime classic. Your guide will teach you basic paddling skills as you begin your adventure on Alta Lake. You'll glide through lily-pads and around bends of greenery as you learn about Whistler's history. It's always an adventure with fast-moving water in the spring or obstacles such as beaver dams during late summer.

Things To Know

: No prior experience is required.
Guests must be able to swim to participate.
Guests must be 6 years or older to participate.
There is a maximum of three people per canoe, up to two adults.
Two capable and strong paddlers are required for each canoe; please contact us if you would like to be in a canoe with a guide.
: Prices are subject to 5% GST.
Gratuities are at the discretion of each guest.
This tour starts on Alta Lake and finishes on Green Lake.
The meeting location is at the Carleton Lodge, Whistler Village.
Arrival 30 minutes prior to the start of the tour is required.
This tour is dependent on river water levels and might be subject to cancellation.
: Water and a snack
Footwear you don't mind getting wet (you will be in and out of the water)
Appropriate clothing for the weather conditions: activewear and waterproof layers such as a shell jacket and pants in case of inclement weather
Sun hat, sunscreen and insect repellant
Waterproof camera or phone
: Round-trip shuttle from Whistler to the lakes
: All cancellations must be received at least 24 hours prior to the start of the tour, or the full cost will apply.
Cancellations by the tour operator due to inclement weather or an insufficient number of participants will be refunded.
